The Family

I met the Won’s about 5 months ago, at a charity event hosted by bearnecessities.org which is a pediatric cancer foundation. During the course of that day I was assigned to work with the kids and take pictures of their golf outing. That is when I met Ella Joy. Ella Joy is a beautiful 5 year old girl currently battling stage 4 non-hodgkins lymphoma cancer, undergoing chemotherapy and treatments. However her strengths, energy, and love for her family kept her going all day. After the event I reached out to mom, and offer a session for the family, she agreed and after 5 long months of schedule conflicts, it finally happen and we are glad it did.

Mom & Dad

Mr. & Ms. Won are amazing. As we walked the through the park, they shared stories, laughs and most of all, the love they have for both Asaph and Ella Joy.

The Bridge

It is almost mandatory to have a bridge picture if in Downtown Naperville. However this bridge represents the more than that. The strong bond between the Won’s which keeps the going each and every day in this journey.

Meet Asaph

Yep we know!! He is adorable!! This little dude has lots of energy, character and most of all love for his sister Ella Joy. Asaph made sure I got his best side!!

Meet Ella Joy

Yes Yes Yes!! Ella Joy is very stylish!!! From posing, to smiling, to wanting to take more pictures, as if for this moment she had forgot about all that she has gone though. Ella Joy was a doll to work with, giving us the opportunity to capture these amazing shots during the golden hour.r

As the session came to an end, there was only one thing in my mind. 1st Corinthians 13: 4-7. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Above all things the Won’s are filled with God’s love. He has and will continue to give them strength, wisdom, and guidance in this journey we call life.
